1. What is a web browser?  A web browser consists of software that is used to help retrieve and present information resources on the Internet.
2. List the most popular 4 web browsers currently? Which browser do you use? The four most popular web browsers are Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Chrome, and Safari. I currently use Internet Explore, but have experience with using Firefox for another class in the past.

Browser war is a term that refers to two competitors who are competing for space on the web in order to be known as the dominant browser on the web. The big deal of having bragging rights of being number 1 on the web helps secure advertising rights, space on new computers that are being purchased and often times free advertising my word of mouth.
